Parisian State of Mind: Behind the Collaboration with Post House

When I went to Paris last fall, I knew I’d come back inspired—but I didn’t realize just how much would unfold from that trip.

My collaboration with Post House has been in the works for months, and it feels surreal to finally start sharing pieces of it with you. Every pattern, every texture, every concept we created is rooted in something I experienced or uncovered in Paris. Whether it was a lion-shaped door knocker tucked away on an old wooden door, or the way the light hit layers of plaster and stone on a quiet side street.

This collection is so personal to me. Creatively, it’s been such a fulfilling process—channeling my experience into every detail and shaping something tangible from what’s been living in my mind.

Lance, the incredibly talented textile designer behind Post House, and I started with nothing more than rough ideas—sketches on scraps of paper, snapshots of references, fragments of feeling—and turned them into fully realized patterns. His deep understanding of material, scale, and mood helped bring these abstract inspirations to life in a way that felt both elevated and personal.

One of my favorite elements we created came directly from a lion door knocker I spotted in Paris. There was something so regal yet worn about it—so specific to that place and that moment. We translated that feeling into a pattern that feels strong, timeless, and full of story. It translates beautifully to both fabric and wallpaper.

At the heart of it all, this collection is about the push and pull I’m always chasing in design. That balance between high and low, old and new, formal and relaxed. I love the structure and elegance of French design, but I wanted to reinterpret it for how we live today—neutral, modern, livable, but still rich in history and intention.

I can’t wait to share more of the details and the full collection soon. The line will officially launch at Spring High Point Market and will also be available to shop online. We’ll be celebrating with a launch party at the Post House booth on Sunday, April 27th from 3–5 PM, and I’d love for you to stop by if you’re at HPMKT.

Until then, I hope this gives you a little glimpse into the world we’ve been building—one sketch, one story, one pattern at a time.
